THE HARVARD DRAWINGS

The Harvard Drawings are a series of drawings derived from books in the Harvard Library where Heide taught for a year (1995-1996). The books explored geology of the world and the changes of landmasses over time. Heide did drawings of Pangea and Gondawandaland and details of the same. She was interested in the Rorschach-like quality of these geographic shapes, and in-fact, several of the drawings from the series were also based on Rorschach tests.

These drawings were recently acquired by the de Young Museum, part of the Fine Arts Museums of San Fransisco.
